Assault in Comox sends three to hospital

One youth is in custody after an assault in Comox that sent three people to hospital.

On April 17, 2021 at approximately 10 p.m. frontline members of the Comox Valley RCMP received a report that three youths had been stabbed at an outdoor party in Comox.

The suspect was quickly identified and arrested.

The victims all sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital by Emergency Health Services. They are all in stable condition and expected to recover.

“The school district has activated their critical incident response team which will be available to support students, families, and staff after this alarming incident” said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.

The Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.

The suspect remains in custody.
