Body of missing woman located

The woman who was last seen in Courtenay on June 2, 2021 has been located and sadly, is deceased.

Criminality is not suspected in the woman’s death. The BC Coroners Service is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

The Comox Valley RCMP would like to thank the media and everyone who helped with the search over the last six months.

No further information will be released.

 

Comox Valley RCMP seek assistance to locate missing woman

The Comox Valley RCMP is seeking assistance to locate 30-year old Ami Guthrie.

Ami was last seen in Courtenay on June 2, 2021.

Initially, there was a post on social media indicating that Ami was missing. After the post had been shared throughout the community, her disappearance was reported to police said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP. It’s important for anyone with information to call police directly.

 

Ami is approximately 5’7 tall, 130 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last believed to be wearing black leggings with a dark coloured windbreaker and carrying a brown/tan shoulder bag.

Comox Valley RCMP are hoping that additional photographs of Ami Guthrie will assist with finding her or locating someone who has seen her recently.
