Late night robbery in Cumberland

The Comox Valley RCMP is looking for a suspect after a robbery in Cumberland and requesting assistance from the public to identify the man.

On October 21, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m., frontline members of the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a report of a robbery on the 2700-block of Dunsmuir Avenue in Cumberland. The victim reported that a male entered the business, demanded money, and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect fled on foot and despite the efforts by frontline members, he was not located.

“The suspect was wearing a black Adidas hoody, black pants, black gloves, and a green face covering described as a scarf or bandana.” said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP. “Investigators from the Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit are in the area again today gathering evidence.” she added.

Surveillance cameras captured an image of the suspect.  Additional images will be released as they become available.
