A theft from an unlocked storage shed located on the 5700 Block of Coral rd.
at the Bates Beach resort was reported. It is believed the theft occured on
August the 29th 2010. Stolen in the theft were an Echo leaf blower, a 26"
bar 365 Husquavarna chain saw and a red Honda Brush cutter.

Category: Residential Break-ins
A break-in was reported on July 18th, 2009 in the 1800 block of Mallard Drive, Courtenay, BC. It occurred overnight. A Compact laptop, Canon 5515 digital camera, Samsung blue ray DVD player, stereo equipment and the homeowner's wallet were stolen. A credit card from the wallet was subsequently used. A suspect has been arrested.
