A theft from an unlocked storage shed located on the 5700 Block of Coral rd.
at the Bates Beach resort was reported. It is believed the theft occured on
August the 29th 2010. Stolen in the theft were an Echo leaf blower, a 26"
bar 365 Husquavarna chain saw and a red Honda Brush cutter.

A report of a break-in was received on August 12th, 2009 in the 2000 block of Urquhart Avenue, Courtenay, BC. A large amount of cash was stolen along with a small safe and a pair of diamond rings. The file is still under investigation.
