A theft from an unlocked storage shed located on the 5700 Block of Coral rd.
at the Bates Beach resort was reported. It is believed the theft occured on
August the 29th 2010. Stolen in the theft were an Echo leaf blower, a 26"
bar 365 Husquavarna chain saw and a red Honda Brush cutter.

Comox Valley police are looking for the person responsible for a Armed Robbery at the Whistle Stop Pub at about 2150 hrs, Saturday, 2009-08-30. The lone male produced a knife and demanded the female employee hand over the money in the cash register. Suspect fled with a undetermined amount of money. The female employee was not injured. The suspect is described as white male (well tanned) 6 Feet / 183 cm tall and weighs about 184 lbs / 84 kg. At the time he was wearing blue jeans, a turquoise light green zip front hoody and white running shoes . He departed the area in a stolen vehicle which was recovered later in the evening.
