A theft from an unlocked storage shed located on the 5700 Block of Coral rd.
at the Bates Beach resort was reported. It is believed the theft occured on
August the 29th 2010. Stolen in the theft were an Echo leaf blower, a 26"
bar 365 Husquavarna chain saw and a red Honda Brush cutter.

A break and enter to a shed was reported on November 15th, 2009
in the 5300 block of North Island Highway, Courtenay, BC. Entry
appears to be via a window. Stolen were a number of DeWalt power
tools including a power drill, a skill saw, a mitre saw, a reciprocating
saw, an impact gun, 2 rechargeable batteries, 2 rechargeable battery
chargers in a DeWalt tool bag. The file is still under investigation.
